TONIGHT'S match between Westfields and Alvechurch in the Polymac Packaging Midland Football League Cup has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The winner of the second round tie will face Lye Town.
Last Saturday, Westfields limped to a disappointing 0-0 home draw with AFC Wulfrunians in the league.
Westfields should have capitalised on their early pressure when Aidan Thomas twice flashed superb crosses in front of the Wulfs goal but none of his teammates could get on the end of them.
Thomas later went off injured and was replaced by Ben Miller.
In the second half, the visitors had opportunities to score, but Sam Gwynne and Phil Glover made some good tackled and Keiron Blackburn tipped over a shot.
Richard Greaves, Craig Jones and James Febery later had chances to score for Westfields, but their efforts were saved.
Westfields are next in action next Tuesday when they travel to Boldmere St Michaels.
