DIDCOT Town manager Andy Ballard hopes his side keep former players John Mills and Pablo Haysham quiet this Saturday.

The lethal Bulls strikers were a big hit at Didcot and shared 70 goals between them in the 2014/15 season.

The pair have been a revelation at Edgar Street after joining the club last year and they will lock horns against their former side at Edgar Street in Southern Football League Division One South & West.

"Both are fantastic players and I'm sure they will go and play at a higher level, whether that's with Hereford or another team," said Ballard.

"I have not seen a better finisher than John Mills in local football.

"I used to joke that Pablo did all the work and John scored the goals.

"They still live not that from from Didcot and some of the players are very good friends with them.

"Hopefully they don't have the bragging rights in the pub afterwards."

Ballard added that it's hard for clubs like Didcot to compete with Hereford when it comes to recruiting players.

"When a club likes Hereford comes calling who are only going to go one way, it's hard to turn them down," he said.

"They may have unlimited funds to sign players , but we're not in a position to do that/

"We just have to go with the players we've got.

"It's going to be a different test for us because Hereford are on a great run at the moment and they're top of the league.

"It will be the first time that some of my players would have played in front of a big crowd, which brings its own challenges, but I hope they relish it and focus on the football match rather than what's going on around the pitch."
