PENTATHLON Hereford gained a silver medal at the Modern Tetrathlon Championships in Solihull.

The competitions involved a 100m swim, an epee fencing poule and a combined event, where athletes complete laser target rounds and a 800m run.

Lucy Austin, who is on the Pentathlon GB English Talent Programme, led the way for the team.

She achieved an individual fourth place with a very strong swim and combined event.
