Chris Woakes has been named the Investec Test Player of the Summer
FORMER Herefordshire player Chris Woakes has been named the Investec Test Player of the Summer at the NatWest PCA Awards following some excellent performances for England.
Woakes topped the Most Valuable Player rankings ahead of Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow and made key contributions against both Sri Lanka and Pakistan this summer.
The 27-year-old Warwickshire star played three Minor Counties matches for Herefordshire in 2006.
