WELLINGTON crashed back down to earth on Tuesday night, going down 4-0 at home to a strong Malvern Town side in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

Derek Williams' side have made a fine start to the season and went into the game in second place with five wins from seven games.

But they had no answer to a Malvern side who scored through Lewis Platt, Dave Reynolds, Paul Edwards and Nathan Hughes.

Last Saturday, Welly beat Bilston Town Community 6-0.

Nick Britton headed home Matt Williams' cross in the 10th minute to open the scoring before Will Perkins doubled the advantage.

Man-of-the-match Ben Thomas then made it 3-0 from a corner and Paul Jones added a fourth before half-time.

Further goals arrived after the break from Britton and Jones.

Pegasus Juniors had a mixed weekend.

On Saturday, James Edmonds' side hammered Dudley Town 6-1 at Old School Lane before losing 5-0 to leaders Wolverhampton Sporting Community on Bank Holiday Monday,

Cory Hyde was the star man against Dudley, scoring four goals, with Sam Oxley and Jack Lewis also netting.

Pegasus have won three out of four games at home, but it is a different story on the road where they have lost all four matches, conceding 15 goals in the process.

Dan Westwood grabbed a hat-trick for Wolverhampton Sporting Community, his fifth hat-trick in a row.

This Saturday, Wellington host Dudley Sports, while Pegasus are home to Bewdley Town.

Meanwhile, Hereford Lads Club continue to lead the way in Division One.

The city side have won all of our six games and have scored an astonishing 29 goals in the process.

Their latest win was a 5-0 success at rivals Bromyard Town on Tuesday night.

Rory Worthing and Dan Herbert netted to take Lads Club into the half-time break 2-0 to the good.

Steve Dixon made it 3-0 in the second half, with Herbert and Tom Harding adding further goals.

Last Saturday, Lads Club beat Newport Town 3-2 thanks to two goals from Rory Worthing and one from Kalum Wildig.

On the same day, Bromyard lost 4-0 at home to Wem Town.

Kington Town, meanwhile, went down 3-1 at Worcester Raiders on Monday; Keanu Cooper scoring Kington's goal.
