HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle joked that winger Tristan Plummer was like 'a jigsaw' today following his performance in a 4-0 drubbing against Bishops Cleeve.

Beadle admitted that, while Plummer put in a lot of effort, he "fell to pieces" when he got into the final third.

"We didn't realise on his signing on form, it said Tristan 'Jigsaw' Plummer because he goes to pieces in the box," joked Beadle.

"Listen, he's a constant threat when he plays and I thought to give him 90 minutes today would do him the world of good mentally, but he did tire towards the end and understandably.

"He had 65 to 70 minutes on Saturday and 90 minutes today and he showed in spells what a danger he can be.

"But there's still more to come from him and he knows that and we know that.

"But the fitter he gets and the more games he has, the better he will be."

Pablo Haysham played on the left hand side and Beadle was impressed with his performance.

"Pabs is contributing brilliantly and got himself on the scoresheet," said Beadle.

"And while he is doing that from a wide position, it's great and we'll just keep him there.

"John and Pablo have played together for many years now, but may be it's about them getting used to new movements and they both had hands in setting themselves up with chances today.

"We've had to accommodate Pabs on the left, which is not his favourite [position], but the teams needs to evolve and in certain games, we need to do things different.

"At half time we talked about the wide men staying out wide and making the pitch as wide ad we can and make it difficult for them.

"I thought our conditioning was great in the heat and those who played on Saturday and again today have done a really good job.

"We were bright and sharp and created chances all afternoon.

"We've had two home games now and scored 10 goals in the league and haven't conceded one yet, which is great.

"I thought against Bridgwater, it should have been 10 and today, it should have been six or seven."

Jimmy Oates missed out after sustaining a dead leg during Saturday's win at Barnstaple.

"You don't need to take chances at the moment, but Rob [Purdie] is more than capable of being able to play there and did a good job today," added Beadle.

"As the second half wore on, he got more involved further up the pitch and he put in a steady performance."
