PEGASUS Juniors manager James Edmonds said there was no point just "parking the bus" against Hereford FC and he was pleased with how his side performed.

"I was really pleased with some of the new signings, especially Adam Newbury and Kieron Dovey – I thought they had a really good game," said Edmonds.

"We expected to have a tough game and lose by probably five because they're such a quality side.

"We could have easily have started the game parking the bus, but we thought 'lets go for it and try and get something out of this game'.

"We've got a lot to work on, but I think we got something out of the game that we wanted to rather than sitting behind the ball upon wave and wave of attack.

"Pegasus created a number of chances on the night and were unlucky not to score.

"They're two leagues higher than us and we're supporters of Hereford and we want them to do well," added Edmonds.

"But it was more about the occasion and it's pleasing for us going forward."
