A REGIONAL Talent Centre is coming to Herefordshire with the aim of identifying talented young footballers.

The Nerf Junior Premier League, one of the biggest youth leagues in the country, is opening four of the centres around the UK and has chosen Herefordshire to be the flagship base.

Meetings have been held between Martin Brock, the Nerf JPL, and Hereford-based Andy Bevan from the West Bromwich Albion Development Centre after which it was decided to convert the county centre to a Junior Premier League RTC.

The move will allow the RTC to work with more than just one club and offer greater opportunities to the players of Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and the wider area.

The Regional Talent Centres will train during the week and play in the JPL on a Saturday.

Anyone interested in joining should contact Bevan at andy.bevan@junior-premier.co.uk to register for the upcoming open trials on July 10.

The age groups for the 2016/17 season are Under 7 - Under 13.
