Tony Byrne
FORMER Hereford United player Tony Byrne has died, aged 70.
Byrne made a total of 55 appearances for the the Bulls between 1974 and 1977 having joined the club from Southampton.
He also earned 14 caps for the Republic of Ireland and later joined Colin Addison at Newport County.
Byrne is the latest ex-Hereford player to die in the past week following the passing of Harry Gregory.
There will be tributes on both players in this week's Hereford Times.
