PETE Beadle says he would have picked the same team that started the FA Vase Final against Morpeth Town, even though Hereford lost 4-1.

The Bulls were cruising in the first 20 minutes after taking an early lead and had chances to go two or three-nil up.

Morpeth then equalised and dominated the second half to deservedly win the game.

Many supporters questioned Beadle's team selection and tactics and were surprised that neither Mustapha Bundu or Mills started.

But Beadle says it would have been a completely different game if his team had taken their first half chances.

"Everyone has their opinion, like if Bundu or Mills should have started and we went through different options – Mills and Haysham, Haysham and Symons, Bundu and Grant, Bundu and Staley and whether to have three in midfield," explained Beadle.

"But the team that played proved to be the strongest at the end of the season.

"May be we could have done things differently, but if we went 3-0 up, it would have been a completely different game.

"But we didn't put them away and we had to be more clinical.

"Hindsight is a great thing, but if we had put our chances away, we would have won the game."
