WHAT an achievement it was to win the league.

To win any league or competition as a player is an incredible feeling.

To be able to be part of an outstanding club in Hereford FC, with the fans, players and staff, has been a real pleasure.

The scenes at Coventry Sphinx were a great reflection of how much the fans have been behind us all season, they deserve this success more than anyone.

I don’t think you could have written the script, with the fact we had a balcony to greet the fans on.

It was the perfect evening to a perfect season with regards to the league win.

This is why I wanted to be a part of this club right from the start.

It was a tough decision to drop so far down, but I felt it was the right decision for me.

I felt the club and myself shared one massive thing in common – we both were or are a phoenix rising.

With all my high expectations of the club as a whole, they were massively exceeded.

I couldn’t have wished to share this journey with a better bunch of lads, in front of the best football fans and to play under a gaffer and coach that I have so much respect for. Everyone has played a massive part in this season’s success and to have played such a large part is more than I could have expected.

The faith in which the gaffer and Bish [Matt Bishop] have put in me is really appreciated.

All I have wanted to do is work hard and play well to repay their faith.

I think for the majority of the season that I played, I have done that and I am so glad the fans have seen that.

I presume they have with their ‘Super Aaron Birch’ chants.

I'm not too sure about the Zidane part, but I certainly won’t complain.

I really hope I will be playing a part at Wembley so I can hear 20,000 Hereford fans sing my name.

I can’t think of a better feeling than to hear my name being sung when I walk out on the hallowed turf.

All of my family will be there to support me and I'm even trying to get some of my family from Germany to come over to get behind the Bulls and see us win the FA Vase.
