A LATE Matt Williams goal saw Wellington come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against Wolverhampton Sporting Community in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

Williams netted with virtually the last kick of the game, which leaves Welly in 13th place in the division with two games to play.

Wolverhampton went ahead in the 10th minute before doubling their lead five minutes before half-time.

But Billy Mohan claimed his first senior goal for Wellington in the 56th minute to reduce the deficit before Williams levelled the game at the death.

Wellington went into the game on the back of 6-3 comeback win at bottom club Tipton Town.

Williams was also on target in that game, helping himself to a hat-trick.

Josh Hunt put Welly ahead in the 20th minute, but two quick goals saw Tipton turn the tie around.

Williams equalised in the 56th minute before Tipton – who have only gained six points all season – went back in front just after the hour mark.

Andy Price then scored to make it 3-3 with 13 minutes to go before Williams netted just a minute later.

Hunt sealed the win with his second goal of the afternoon in stoppage time and there was still time for Williams to complete his hat-trick and make the final scoreline 6-3.

Wellington host Willenhall Town this Saturday, before they go to Wolverhampton Casuals three days later for their final game of the season.
