WESTFIELDS may have endured a disappointing Midland Football League Premier Division season, but it's been a successful one for Jamie Cuss.

The Westfields captain has predominately played in central midfield throughout his career, but has enjoyed a rich vein of form this season after pushing further forward.

And he has repaid manager Sean Edwards in the best possible way, scoring 30 goals in all competitions.

That led to him being crowned the supporters' player of the year following yesterday's excellent 4-1 win over Rocester.

Second place went to Kane Kahaki, with Craig Jones coming in third.

Westfields were in control throughout against Rocester and took the lead from the penalty spot in the seventh minute.

Cuss was upended by James Frost and Phil Glover converted the spot-kick.

Shortly afterwards, it was 2-0.

A well-worked team move led to James Baldwin scoring.

Rocester were handed a n opportunity to get back into the game when they were awarded a penalty following a foul by Sam Gwynne.

But Oliver Room failed to hit the target and put his effort wide.

That miss proved to be costly because Westfields went 3-0 up just after half-time thanks to another penalty.

A Rocester player was deemed to have handled the ball and Kahaki converted the spot-kick.

Westfields goalkeeper Matt Gwynne had little to do at this point, but was called into action when he had to produce a fantastic save.

Cuss then made it 4-0 before Tom Brown netted a consolation goal for Rocester.
