BOTH Wellington and Pegasus Juniors succumbed to disappointing results in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division last Saturday.

Welly drew 1-1 at home to bottom club Tipton Town, while Pegasus went down to a heavy 4-0 defeat against Black Country Rangers at Old School Lane.

Five first team players were missing for Wellington, but manager Derek Williams said his side should still have won the game.

Josh Hunt had a great chance of opening the scoring for Wellington in the fifth minute, but headed straight at the Tipton goalkeeper.

However, the Wellington striker, who has been in fine scoring form lately, did open his account after 19 minutes.

But the game turned when Glen Segust was sent off after the break after raising his hands to a Tipton player's chest.

Tipton then w equalised just after the hour mark and had a great chance to to in front if it was not for a great save by debutant Wellington goalkeeper Matt Apperley.

Hunt, Will Perkins and Andy Price all had chances to score for the home side, but in the end, they had to settle for a point.

Pegasus were 2-0 down against Black Country Rangers after Montell Brown and Jamie Hunt scored in the ninth and 33rd minute respectively.

Two further goals from Chad Birch in the 54th minute and Arren Weston 17 minutes from time sealed the win.

The solitary Division One match that took place saw Bartestree continue their fine run with a 3-2 win against Penncroft.

Darren Andrews scored two of Bartestree's goals, with Mark Hibbard also on target.

There is a huge game at the top of the division this Saturday when Lads Club host AFC Ludlow.

Lads Club are 10 points behind Ludlow in second place, but have three games in hand.

Kington Town also resume their Division One campaign with a home game against Bustleholme, while Bartestree go to FC Stafford.
