JAMIE Pitman and Joel Edwards have agreed to coach United in the Community's Under-18 side until the end of the season.

Both were running the positions in a caretaker capacity after linking up with UITC earlier this season.

"I've really enjoyed the past few months working with the youth boys and can already see massive improvements from them both individually and as a team," said Edwards, who is the captain at Hereford FC.

"They are a great bunch of lunch lads on and off the pitch with great attitudes and enthusiasm to work and learn.

"There are a number of quality players who, if they continue to learn and progress like they have, will have a bright future in the game.

"It is our job to make sure this progression continues.

"The facility's at Victoria Park are now looking very professional and its makes it a lot easier for both us and the lads to work and train in such a great environment."

Nick Vaughan, chairman of the trustees at UITC, said he was delighted the deals have been agreed.

"The feedback I've had in the past couple of months has been nothing but positive," said Vaughan.

"They have worked really hard to improve players standards, both on and off the pitch, and it great to see this bearing fruit now.

"There are some tough fixtures ahead but I feel we now have a coaching set up in place to see the lads really push on until the end of the season"

The Under-18s are fourth in the Midland Floodlit Youth League Southern Division are are home to Bromsgrove Sporting tomorrow night.
