HEREFORD FC face a huge game against Long Eaton United this afternoon, while Westfields go to Heanor Town in a packed afternoon of sport.

More than 3,000 fans are set to to watch Hereford against fellow Midland Football League Premier Division high-fliers Long Eaton United at Edgar Street.

Hereford are the division's top scorers and sit in second place, while Long Eaton, who have played three games fewer than the Bulls, lie fourth.

The current leaders are Heanor Town, who are a point better off than Hereford.

The Derbyshire outfit are home to Westfields this afternoon, with Sean Edwards' side in desperate need of some points having only won once this season.

Alvechurch, who have won eight games in a row after losing their opening game, are home to second-from-bottom Dunkirk.

In the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division, Pegasus Juniors, who have won their last four games, go to league leaders Haughmond, while Bromyard Town host Black Country Rangers and Wellington travel to Gornal Athletic.

Hereford Lads Club have won their last six league games in Division One and will hope for another maximum haul against Bustleholme, while Bartestree, who gained their first win of the season last week, host Trysull.

There are three games in the Hereford Times Herefordshire Football League Premier Division - Fownhope v Leominster Town, Tenbury United v Hinton and Wellington Reserves v Ewyas Harold.

In the rugby, Luctonians will be looking for a win when they face Chester at Mortimer Park in National League 2 North, while Hereford go to Bourneville in Midlands 1 West.

Other rugby matches involving Herefordshire sides include Cheltenham North v Ledbury, Yardley & District v Bromyard, Greyhound v Essington and Westbury-on-Severn v Ross-on-Wye.
