THE Herefordshire County Table Tennis Association Veterans team are top of the National League Division 1A table a successful weekend in Cambridge.
On the Saturday morning, Hereford Challengers beat Graham Spicer 5-1, with Mark Owen and Ola Andersson winning both sets and Toby Eckley one.
Owen then took two wins again in the afternoon, with Andersson and Eckley winning one each to claim another two point win.
All players then won two matches against Hollingbury C in the evening.
On the Sunday morning, Owen and and Eckley were in good form against Whitworth Academy, claiming two wins each, with Andersson also winning one.
The final match of the weekend pipped the Challengers against OLOP2, which the Challengers winning all of their matches.
The team are firmly at the top of the table and will take part in the reverse matches in Blackpool in January.
