EASTNOR halted their recent slump to a degree by securing a losing draw against Halesowen in Birmingham & District Premier Cricket League Division 2.

The Herefordshire side are still bottom of the division, but will be heartened by not being bowled out cheaply.

Twice during July, Eastnor were skittled out for 69 and 44, but last Saturday they managed to bowl through their overs.

Halesowen had made 264-6 off their 55 overs, with Herefordshire County Cricket Club's Ben Stebbings and Ed Kilbee scoring 83 and 82 respectively.

But despite fine knocks from Jack Myers (59) and Dave Waters (45), Eastnor could only make 199-7, with their overs being reduced to 43.

Brockhampton are still in deep trouble in the Premier Division after succumbing to an eight-wicket defeat at the hands of Dorridge, despite a fine half- from Henry Langford.

Langford's knock came off 115 balls, with his opening partner Adam Hewlett needing 22 balls just to get to five runs.

Brockhampton were eventually skittled out for 168, with Dorridge only needing 26.4 overs to reach their target with the loss of only two wickets.

Mohammed Ishtiaq top scored with 68 off just 55 balls, with Hewlett taking both of the wickets.
