EIGHT races held under British Harness Racing Club rules at Allensmore produced some fast and furious action, with Leominster farrier Lee Morris partnering three of the speedy winners.

He was aboard the Patrick Morris-owned Ystwyth Valley in two of the races, the Kitty AND?Bernard Nock Memorial Handicap Mile and the Saunders Dragons L?Grade 1 Pace, and then Rhyds Panache, owned and trained by Raymond Cooper at Malvern, in the Happy Birthday Chris Roberts Grades 3-5 Handicap.

The going was good and Cash Point (Andrew Rees), trained by Rebecca Baker at Almeley for her father, Fred, battled well to get the better of Brywins Gucci (Emma Frieze) by half a length and delight his connections in the Cailan &?William Morris Novice Mile.

Presteigne farrier Julian Price was equally elated with Caenwood Jack’s victory in the Maiden race, taking the Enos Evans Memorial Mile.

Other winners were Chinatown Kolt (Mike Evans) in the Wales &?West Pacing Series Mile, Rosie Du (Jamie Davies) in the Ivor Stokle Grade 2 race and Cutchall Hanover (Michael O’Mahoney) in the Gwyne Owens' Memorial Top Grade Pace.

The next harness racing fixture is at Pembridge Show this Saturday at 2pm.
