NEWLY-PROMOTED Kington Town face a tasty Division One derby with Bartestree on the opening Saturday of the 2015-16 West Midlands (Regional)?League campaign.

Kington, who lifted the Division Two title last season in their first year back in the WML, host the fixture at Mill Street on Saturday, August 8.

Shaun Harris’s side began their pre-season countdown with a 3-1 defeat at Llandrindod Wells last Saturday, with Weobley recruit Ryan Nicholas, a former Kington youth player, bagging their goal.

Lads Club, who meet Herefordshire League outfit Orleton Colts in a friendly at the County Ground this evening (Thursday), open their league programme with a home game against Darlaston Town, who were promoted alongside Kington. Bartestree’s first home game is the following Saturday (August 15) when they entertain Shenstone Pathfinders.

Bromyard Town, last season’s Division One champions, launch their Premier Division programme by visiting Stone Old Alleynians, who came up with them last season, while Pegasus Juniors start with a home game against Wellington Amateurs and Wellington have to travel to Wolverhampton Sporting Community.

All three Premier Division side also play on Tuesday, August 11, with Pegasus travelling to Black Country Rangers, Bromyard to Gornal Athletic while Wellington are at home to Wellington Amateurs.
