GOODRICH are now a hefty 50 points ahead of the chasing pack at the top of the GB Liners Cricket League Division One table following a fine win against Builth Wells.

Joe Provis led the way for the villagers with an excellent 66, with Sam Griffiths (46) and Andrew Brown (39) also contributing well.

Provis was also handy with the ball, with his five wickets helping to bowl out Builth Wells for 143.

Builth Wells are now third, with Luctonians ahead of them in second thanks to a seven-wicket win against Brockhampton 3rd; James Platford finishing unbeaten on 47.

Brockhampton are now only four points ahead of the bottom two following the defeat.

The relegation places are currently occupied by Canon Frome, who went down to a losing draw at Ledbury, and Kington, who suffered a five-wicket defeat at the hands of Woolhope. Marden are top of Division Two following a seven-wicket win at Shirebulls, with the Hereford side sipping down fifth.

Marden are 21 points ahead of nearest challengers Dales, who earned a winning draw against Almeley.

Presteigne came away from Knighton-on-Teme with a win, while Weobley hammered Builth Wells by eight wickets after bowling them out for just 71.

Colwall 3rd also enjoyed a comfortable win in Division Three by overcoming Abergavenny 3rd by eight wickets, while Eastnor 3rd beat Goodrich 2nd and Garnons 2nd overcame Kington 2nd.

Bosbury conceded their match against Ledbury 2nd.

Garnons are also through to the semi-finals of the Knock-out Cup following an eight-wicket win at Ledbury; Stuart Griffiths (4-13) and Thomas James (2-3) being the pick of the bowlers.
