LUCTONIANS Cycling Club will certainly be seen when they next ride out due to their new cycling jersey.

The Club, consisting of a a group of cycling enthusiasts based in and around Kingsland, was set up to provide like-minded cyclists the opportunity to get together to enjoy a friendly ride and want something a little more challenging!

The cycle group usually leaves Luctonians Sports Club every Sunday morning at 9.30 a.m on an agreed route to explore the countryside and regularly includes a coffee stop along the way.

Since forming in 2010 membership of the club has grown and continues to be supported by a wide range of ages, from the young competitive rider to the older cyclists who are not quite ready to hang up their wheels.

Members have taken part in numerous events, such as the Lands End to John O'Groats challenge, 24 Hour Le Mans Cyclosportive, local time trials, sportives and charity rides and most notably Hereford's Wheelie Big Cycle event for St. Michael's Hospice which is set to take place again on Sunday, 19th July which the Cycling Club will be supporting.

Full details of this event can be obtained online at st-michaels-hospice.org.uk/wheeliebig or call the events team on 01432 851000.

The new jersey has been supplied by Scimitar Sports of Worcester.
