THE Bishop of Hereford is to swap jobs for a day when he sits in the commentary box at Worcestershire County Cricket Club's New Road tomorrow.

Bishop Richard Frith is a keen cricket fan and is delighted with the opportunity.

"I just thought – that is my dream job – after being a Bishop of course," he said.

The Bishop will be joining the local radio commentary team for Worcestershire's match against New Zealane.

The visiting team are touring England this summer, and Worcestershire will be their second game of the tour.

“It’s the second day so hopefully it will be a good day’s cricket,” said Richard.

“If things have got off to a good start on day one and the sun is shining then I will be a very happy man.

"I am mugging up on all things New Zealand and feel reasonably confident that I can add my bit to the day’s output.

"It’s a challenge I am really looking forward to.”
