HEREFORD Lads Club moved back up to third in West Midlands (Regional) League Division 1 following a routine 3-1 win against bottom club Wyrley.

The city side took the lead after only 29 seconds when Scott Turner hit the ball into top corner after his initial effort was blocked.

Both teams then had numerous chances, with Lads Club goalkeeper Steve Bell pulling off a couple of great saves.

But he could do nothing to stop Luke Davies's shot from going over the line after hitting the underside of the crossbar.

Lads Club then went ahead in the second half thanks to a goal from Steve Dixon before the same player was set up by Kalum Wildig to round off the win.

Bromyard Town bounced back in fine style after a couple of poor results to return to the top of the table after thrashing Penncroft 6-1.

Town are now a point clear of St Martins with three games in hand.

The two sides meet at Delahay Meadow this Saturday.

Elsewhere, Bartestree shared an eight-goal thriller against Worcester Raiders.

A late equaliser by the villagers earned them a 4-4 draw.
