SAM Pearson demolished Bilston Town Community on his own as he hit all five goals in a fine 5-0 Pegasus Juniors win on Tuesday night.

Pearson's heroics helped his side to their second win in three days after the city side won 3-0 at Wellington Amateurs on Saturday.

The back-to-back wins have lifted Pegasus to ninth in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division table.

They warmed up for Tuesday's rout with a comfortable win at Wellington in a match which saw Pegasus manager Chris Hyde forced into a number of changes after three youngsters were drafted into the Under 18 side.

After a goalless first half, the visitors took the lead shortly after the break with a well-worked goal.

Ben Price headed the ball to Danny Hill, who found Pearson before the striker played the ball beyond the defence to Hill.

His cross was met by Kiea Cowley who guided the ball home with a deft header.

Wellington's job was then made harder when they were reduced to ten men following a retaliation after a challenge.

Pegasus made the most of this and, with three minutes left, Pearson rounded the goalkeeper to double the lead before the same player tapped in from six yards to make it 3-0.

The city side then rounded off an impressive win with the 5-0 win at home to Bilston.

This Saturday, Pegasus face a local derby when they travel to sixth-placed Malvern Town before meeting Wellington Amateurs again on Tuesday, this time at Old School Lane.
