Georgina Smith will attempt to kayak around the Scilly Islands in May
A HEREFORDSHIRE woman is taking on the challenge of her life when she attempts to kayak 100km around the Scilly Islands.
Georgina Smith, from Clehonger, has never kayaker before and only had her first lesson last month.
The aim of the trip in May is to survey marine wildlife in the Scilly Islands and pick up litter as part of a team of 12 people.
The 34-year-old is raising money for Ross-on-Wye based Marine Conservation Society and will be holding a pudding evening and raffle at Madley Village Hall from 6pm to 8pm on Saturday, March 28.
St Michael's Hospice is also set to benefit from the event.
