COLWALL & Malvern went down 2-0 to Bourton & Sherborne in West Club's Women's League Severn Division 1.

Having played them at home in their previous game, Colwall & Malvern knew they were in for a tough game.

Colwall took a while to get their passing play going and found it difficult to break down the Bourton defence.

The county side forced several short corners, but the home side proved to be resolute and stopped the ball crossing the line in any way they could.

Bourton then managed to counter-attack and caught the Colwall & Malvern defence on the back foot to score the opening goal.

The second half had a similar feel to it and no matter how hard they tried, Colwall could not find a way through their opponents' strong defence.

The home side struck again midway through the half with only their second shot on goal, which deflected up and off another attacker's stick.

Colwall and Malvern are away to Lansdown this Saturday, kick-off 2pm, with the second team training at Malvern College at 10am for anyone who fancies a session.

Senior training takes place at the college on Wednesday evenings from 7.30am to 8.30pm, while sessions under-13 girls and boys are on Thursdays from 6pm to 7pm.
