GOALS from Paul Jones and Josh Hunt saw Wellington secure an impressive 2-2 draw at second placed Gornal Athletic in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.
Gornal opened the scoring after just three minutes but came back strongly to level through a Jones penalty after the striker was brought down in the box.
A long range effort from Gornal caught Wellington goalkeeper Craig Hill off his line to make it 2-1 to the home side before Hill made two great saves.
Hunt levelled again for Wellington thanks to a fantastic header from a Steve Brotherwood cross.
Wellington manager Derek Williams said his side's defence were outstanding in the second half, with Gornal not having any shots on goal.
At the other end, Wellington had three big scoring opportunities through Hunt, Jamie Yau and Matt Aubrey and were unlucky not to get the win.
The result comes on the back of an impressive win at Dudley Town last Wednesday.
Andy Price, Will Perkins and Jones were on target for Wellington in the 3-1 win.
The villagers are again on their travels this weekend, this time facing Haughmond.
