A GROUP of former Ledbury players who wore cheese foams on their heads enthusiastically supported the team against Harbury.
The group also served cheese, port and pork pies during the afternoon.
“We all love cheese, it’s as simple as that,” said Mark Gould.
“We try and get down as often as we can, but we don’t get the opportunity to get down as frequently as we would like to.
“This is our first meeting in two years.
“The last time we met was when we went up to this league, so it is tough to get together.
“We offer cheese, port, grapes, pork pies and relishes of the local charity of the day and, for anyone who likes to get down to Ledbury when we’ve got a cheeseboard, they’re more than welcome.”
While acknowledging Ledbury made mistakes, Gould thought the team played well against Harbury.
“Once we could find we could score tries by moving the ball to the fantastic Williams brothers, there were chinks there and opportunities to really expose a poor side," said Gould.
