COMPANIES House have today issued a notice of dissolution against Hereford United Football Club (1939) Limited.

And a Hereford Council spokesman confirmed today that: "Prior to the dissolution of the company occurring as a result of its insolvency, should that happen, the leases would revert back to the council and cease. If the company was dissolved in other circumstances, then technically the leases would vest in the Crown and the council would ask the Crown to disclaim them with the result being they would revert to the council."

The notice at Companies House reads: "The registrar of Companies gives notice that, unless cause is shown to the contrary, at the expiration of three months from the above date (11/11/2014), the name of Hereford United Football Club (1939) Limited wil be struck off the register and the company will be dissolved."

The notice adds that, upon dissolution all property and rights vested in, or held in trust for, the company are deemed to be "bona vacantia" (meaning vacant), and accordingly, will belong to the crown.
