DIEHARD Bulls fan Gerald Powell says he will always follow his beloved team.

Many Hereford fans have boycotted the club this season in light of the troubles facing the Edgar Street club.

But Powell is one of a small group of passionate fans that have continued to support the team both home and away.

"I have no choice of who owns my football club, I am just a football supporter," said Powell.

"I don't delve into politics, but I have got friends that do not go to the games anymore.

"There is a bit of a divide amongst supporters, which is a shame.

"I respect everybody's decision as long as they respect mine.

"It is their decision whether to support the team or not."

The Hereford players share the same coach as the supporters for away games.

"The players sit at the back, but they always speak to you when they get on and are very polite," said Powell.

Powell was at Poole last Saturday, which potentially could have been the Bulls' last-ever game.

"It was a very good display and the team would have got a lot of confidence from it," said Powell.

"It was one of the best performances of the season and they defended well."

Hereford goalkeeper Luke Williams said the players appreciate the support they get.

"There is a group of fans that keep coming and fair play to them, they have been absolutely tremendous," he said.

"I think it's a good atmosphere on the coach and they get to see how we are as people."
