AFC Ludlow 3 Lads Club 0

LADS Club assistant manager Richie Jones felt his team were unfortunate with some of the decisions when his side went down 3-0 at Ludlow in Division One of the West Midlands League.

"Ludlow deserved their three points but I think the scoreline flattered them," he said.

"We were disappointed with some of the officials decisions but you just got to take it on the chin and hope the decisions go your way next time.

"I think we gave Ludlow too much time on the ball in the first half and they are good going forward but we tightened up in the second half and our shape looked a lot better.

"Ludlow had most of their goalscoring opportunities towards the end when we were trying to get back into the game."

The home side went ahead on 15 minutes when goalkeeper Steve Bell was only able to turn a snapshot on to the head of Marian Jusko who headed into the net.

Jusko headed in a second after a linesman had flagged for a foul, the referee failed to notice him and the linesman was left behind play with the goalscorer looking suspiciously offside.

Man-of-the-match Bell tipped a long-range effort over the bar while, at the other end, Alex Hunt headed wide from a Rordan cross.

Ludlow continued to have the better of opportunities in the second period with Bell making a string of fine saves.

Dale RIchards and Matt Maturi had efforts saved before Martin Jusko scored the home side, although it appeared that Bell had been fouled in the build-up.

Despite being without a game last Saturday, Bromyard Town continue to head the table by three points from nearest rivals Worcester Raiders.

Bartestree were also without a game but will be hoping to boost their position this weekend when they travel to take on Wem Town who are still without a point after six matches.

In Division Two, Kington Town won for the first time in three outings when they travelled to Gornal Colts and came away with a 3-0 victory.

Town's goals came from Dan Stack, Aaron Hodge and Jordan Cooper.

The border club will face a stern test on Saturday when they entertain fourth-placed Bilbrook.
