A BLEND of youth and experience is the ambition at all sporting organisations.
And Hereford RFC seems to have both in abundance.
Providing the experience are two committee men who can point to an involvement of 125 years between them with the Wyesiders.
Frank Dullehan, a long-time secretary with the club after finishing his playing days, has been associated with the club since 1951.
And Robin Davies, former treasurer and now programme editor and press officer, was just a year behind.
At the other end of the age scale is a youth set-up, funneling into a Colts side which is the envy of many larger organisations.
And the player-retention level is such that 12 of the 15 starting players against Stratford last Saturday came up through the youth ranks.
"We have around 300 young players who come down to Wyeside to play on a Sunday morning," confirmed secretary Malcolm Harris.
And the club will be looking to further enhance those numbers when the planned move to a new ground takes place in two to three years' time.
Work is hoped to start on the site on the Hampton Bishop edge of the city next month.
