ROUND Three of Matches in the Hereford Times Herefordshire League saw Wellington Rangers increase their lead at the top of the Premier Division, with their third away win of the season, 4-2 over Lads Club Reserves.

Ewyas Harold maintained their 100% winning start to the season with a 4-1 victory over new boys Tenbury United.

Leominster Town picked up their first points of the campaign with a 2-1 victory at home to Ross Juniors, who were without several key players.

Shobdon remain at the foot of the table after being thumped 5-1 by Orleton Colts.

In the first round of matches in Division One Brimfield won 5-1 over last season’s Premier Division side Bartestree Reserves.

However the Hereford Times performance of the week goes to Weobley, who after the turmoil of losing the majority of their side from last year, pulled things together and smashed seven past Hereford City with two goals in reply.

In Division Three, Two of the New boys began their HFL History, with victories, Northwood Rangers overcame Leominster Town reserves 1-0 and Tupsley cruised to a 5-1 victory over Orleton Colts Reserves.

The other two teams elected to the league this season were not so lucky, Belmont Wanders losing a hard-fought battle with Dore Valley by 2-1, and Malvern Vale losing at home 4-1 to Weston.
