HEREFORD United have approached West Midlands League Division One outfit Bartestree for a friendly at Edgar Street tomorrow night.

Yesterday, Sinkums revealed their match with United tomorrow night had been cancelled due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.

And United's new chairman Andy Lonsdale told the Hereford Times yesterday that the Bulls would not be playing another match before the weekend.

Now, however, Bartestree manager Dave Cadwallader has confirmed the villagers have been approached to play a friendly against United at Edgar Street.

It is the latest twist in what has been the most bizarre and traumatic pre-season at Edgar Street in memory.

Cadwallader is a Hereford United fan and told the Hereford Times he has been trying to arrange a friendly match for his side for the past week.

Bartestree's assistant-manager Adriano Girolami is a former Hereford United In the Community officer.

“I am torn over this because I have texted all my players and every one of them has said they want to play against Hereford United,” said Cadwallader.

“My lads desperately need a game, so we need to think about this. It is a big decision."
