GARNONS opener Clive Scott made the most of a sporting gesture by opponents Brockhampton 3rd to lead his team to a 63-run win in Division One of the GB Liners Marches League.

Scott was recalled by Brockhampton skipper Steve Jennings after being wrongly given out caught behind off Adam Herbert in the early stages of his innings and went on to make 77 in a total of 212-7.

Garnons skipper James Debenham gave good support with a knock of 32 while Joe Harding, with 3-44, was the pick of the home attack.

In reply, Stu Jennings batted well for his 62 but regular wickets from Scott Harris (3-18), James Bolton (3-43) and Rob Pritchard (3-48) conspired to dismiss the home side for 149.

A century from Rory Jackson helped to get Goodrich's title-challenge back on track as the south Herefordshire club cruised to a 147-run win over Crickhowell.

Jackson scored 116 in Goodrich's total of 238 but had to share star-billing in their triumph with Mark Bradford, who returned the excellent figures of 7-22 as the Welshmen were shot out for 91.

Luctonians are up to third place in the table after Chris Ibbetson (66 not out) piloted then to a six-wicket success over Talgarth.

In the league's lower divisions, it was double 'seven-up' for Ledbury teams who both secured comfortable victories.

In Division Two, Jamie Turner collected 7-13 to shoot out Kington 2nd for 67 before his league-leading outfit cruised to a nine-wicket success.

And, in Division Three, Steve Large bagged 7-51 as the club's second-string earned a 61-run victory over Strollers.

Ledbury's position at the head of Division Two was strengthened after second-placed Almeley were beaten by 20 runs by third-placed Marden.

But Woolhope remain strongly in the hunt in fourth-place after crushing Shirebulls by nine wickets.
