HEREFORDSHIRE won on only two rinks when they were beaten by 132 shots to 115 by Mid-Glamorgan at Leominster.
Dave Holloway skipped the top home rink, losing only eight ends in a 34-17 success, and the other successful rink was skipped by Glyn Lloyd.
After being down 15-9 after 16 ends, they staged a tremendous fight back to win 23-17.
The rink skipped by Don Pugh was down 22-11 after 18 ends, but won the last three ends to finish only four shots down at 22-18, and John Colley's rink was level at 8-8 after 10 ends, but won only four more ends and finished 21-14 down.
John Wear's rink was also level after 10 ends, but lost eight of the remaining ends to lose 28-14, and the heaviest defeat was sustained by the rink skipped by Mike Charles who went down by 27-12
