SKIPPER Luke Graham headed the Hereford United appearance charts in the Bulls' successful battle to beat relegation from the Skrill Premier.

Graham figured in 41 of United's 46 matches, taking his tally to 89, plus two substitute appearances, during two seasons at Edgar Street where he enhanced his own personal reputation as an accomplished non-league centre-back.

Although Graham, who has declared that he will not be returning to Hereford for next season, made the most starts for the Bulls, it was Dan Walker who figured in the most games, however.

The striker started 26 of the United matches, but also added 17 appearances as a substitute and so only failed to take the field in three of the matches.

Chris Bush, with 39, was second after Graham in the most starts, and also added a further substitute appearance.

Rob Purdie, who started 21 matches with a further eight as substitute, has now taken his total appearances during three spells at Edgar Street to 259 with a further 66 from the bench.

Purdie failed to add to his 40 Bulls goals during what was generally a poor season for goalscorers at Edgar Street.

Michael Rankine, who included the priceless strike at Aldershot which kept the Bulls in the Conference Premier in his tally, was the top-scorer with just seven.

Centre-back Dom Collins, as well as being a promising defender alongside Graham, also proved his worth at the other end of the field by chipping in with five.

The best strike-rate, by some way, came from Mansfield loanee Ross Dyer, who scored four times in just five appearances during his month at Edgar Street.

Sam Smith also scored four times but, in contrast, these came from 34 appearances, eight of which came from the substites' bench.
