HENRY Langford's 44 was not enough for Brockhampton as they lost by three wickets against Knowle and Dorridge in Birmingham and District Premier League.

Langford smashed six fours in his knock off 69 balls, but Brockhampton were eventually skittled out for 192.

Other notable runs came from William Barrett (26), Joe Crichard (23) and Ben Stibbings (20).

But Michael Hill's unbeaten knock of 84 off just 94 balls in the end proved crucial for Knowle and Dorridge as they managed to reach their target.

Chris Davidson bagged himself three wickets for Brockhampton, while Michael Bevan got two.

Eastnor also came unstuck in their Division Two game against Old Elizabetheans.

Opener Andrew Fisher battled away for 54 Eastnor, but only Sunil Rahi (23), Josh Emery (13), Shameer Ahmed (13) and Shahid Ahmed (10) got into double figures as the villagers were bowled out for 145.

Atiq Ur Rehman (2-18), Jabran Khalid (2-25) and Shahid Ahmed (2-26) all chipped in with wickets when Old Elizabethans were put into bat, but in the end it proved inconclusive as the Worcestershire side edged home with three wickets to spare - Damon Gariff's 43 not out proving crucial.
