A SIX-mile run on the edge of the Black Mountains is to take place next month.
The Darrens Dash hill race in Longtown - first held in 2006 - has an an ascent of 1,500ft.
The event on Sunday, June 15 is sponsored by Wye Valley Runners, with safety cover provided by Longtown Mountain Rescue Team (LMRT).
The race starts at 2pm, with proceeds split between Longtown School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA), Longtown Pre-School and LMRT.
