MANAGER Derek Williams is looking forward to a good cup run next season and hopes that his side can have another decent crack at the FA Vase.

“We got into the last 32 a couple of years ago and that was a fantastic achievement for us," he said.

"It would be nice to think that we could get that far and maybe more next season. Any cup run is great to have but one in the FA Vase would be special for the club and the lads.”

Having been dumped out of the Premier Division cup to local rivals Pegasus Juniors at the start of the year in one of his first games for the club, Josh Hunt echoes his manager’s sentiments in hoping for a cup run next year.

“I only joined the club half way through the season and it was disappointing to go out of the cup so soon after I moved here," he said.

"As a player, you want to do as well as possible in the league but there’s always something a bit special about the cup, no matter what level you play at, so to get a run in the Vase next season is something I’m very much looking forward to.”
