JON Walsh won gold when Hall Family Taekwon-do instructors and coaches Luke and Sarah Hall took 10 students to an open Karate tournament held in Hereford.

All the students entered into the tournament with a Taekwon-do based training background, and for some it was their first tournament.

Natalie McConnell fought her way to a silver, and instructor/coach Sarah Hall took a bronze in her category.

Jay Furnell and Cole Scully, both entered this as their first tournament, and with the support of assistant instructor and coach Dan Sneddon, won through many rounds before narrowly missing out on medals.

All the other students got past the first round in their respective categories.

Hall Family Taekwon-do is a family friendly club with a great support network from within. Instructors Mr and Mrs Hall are proud of the way the students rally around and support each other both within training and at events.
