HEREFORD Wheelers opened their season-long series of 10-mile time trials on the Allensmore course and attracted a record entry of 70 riders.
On a good night for riding, the men’s race saw a clean sweep with local club NFTO providing the first three riders.
In first place was Sam Harrison in 21min49sec , second was James Lewis in 22:57 and third was John Wood in 23:09.
16 year old Patrick Fotheringham of Halesowen CC was an excellent eighth in a time of 25:17.
The women’s race was won by Sarah Lloyd Stephens of Hereford Wheelers in 26:49 with Christie Jones of NFTO second in 28:09. In third place was Gaby McDermott of Hereford Wheelers in 28:57.
