MARTIAL artist Natalie McConnell overcame nerves to win a silver medal in her first-ever competition.

Natalie trains in the women’s class of Hall Family Taekwon-do and showed commitment and determination in an open karate tournament.

She battled her way to a medal against people from a variety of martial arts including karate, kickboxing and taekwon-do.

Natalie trains on Monday mornings in a ladies only class at Saxon Hall in Hinton, Hereford.

Instructor Sarah Hall also entered the tournament and fought her way to a bronze medal in her division.

Natalie is part of the new women’s class of Hall Family Taekwon-do have joined an International Taekwon-do Federation group to provide fantastic opportunities to their students.

Since joining this group, Hall Family Students now have access to both national and international events all over the World.

Instructor Hall was very pleased with the effort and commitment shown by the students and look forward to supporting them in their International Taekwon-Do experiences.

She said Hall Family Taekwon-do strives to do their best for their students and provide all the opportunities they can.
