HEREFORD United director Dave Preedy will be boarding the 5am train to London tomorrow morning for a key court date.

In the continuing absence of chairman David Keyte, Preedy will be seeking a short adjournment of the winding-up order against the Bulls.

HMRC have brought the order against the club for non-payment of £78,000 but United are homing in on the target.

They have paid £40,000 and expect to be approaching their goal after all of the receipts from today’s two performances by Omid Djalili at the Courtyard and from yesterday’s match at Woking.

An auction of shirts after yesterday’s game also raised £1,300 towards the target and club bars have been open today for fans to call in to have a drink before going on to the Courtyard.

The adjournment, which is believed to have been agreed with HMRC, is expected to give United until the end of the week to find the remaining sum to satisfy the tax demand.
