SUPPORTERS’ chief Keith Dodd believes Pete Beadle would be a 'good choice' to be the next manager of Hereford United.

Dodd, the chairman of the Hereford United Independent Supporters’ Association, said Beadle had done an excellent job with the Bulls’ under-18 team this term.

First-team manager Martin Foyle and assistant Andy Porter departed Edgar Street this afternoon after a run of poor results.

Beadle, the former Newport County and Bath City boss, guided United’s youth team to the last 32 of the FA Youth Cup this season.

Dodd said: “I would have thought that Pete Beadle would be a good choice until the end of the season. I know a lot of fans have not been happy with the results of the first-team and there has been frustration with the style of football. Some comments about the fans last Saturday did not go down well.”
