HEREFORD United boss Martin Foyle and assistant manager Andy Porter have left Edgar Street.

The duo, who have parted company with the club this afternoon, had been at United for two seasons.

It is understood chairman David Keyte was unhappy with the club's recent results and had called a crunch meeting with the pair.

Foyle did an excellent job at the helm last season, finishing sixth in the Conference Premier.

But the cash-strapped Bulls have gone 10 games without a win and are languishing just four points above the drop zone after last night's 2-0 loss at Wrexham.

In a post-match interview after the Racecourse reverse, a frustrated Foyle claimed that some of United’s players were not good enough.

Foyle also claimed that none of United’s squad would be at Edgar Street next season.

Speculation had been mounting on Bulls Banter that Foyle and Porter were about to leave United.

It is not thought that United have lined up a successor to Foyle.

The Bulls have had a traumatic time, with players and staff not being paid on time.

United are facing the prospect of a winding-up order for failing to keep up with HMRC payments.

This week, Keyte said the board were considering whether the club should be put into administration.

The Hereford Times has not been able to get in touch with Martin Foyle or his assistant Andy Porter for a comment on their departure.
