Wellington 3 Bartley Green 0

WELLINGTON had few problems in seeing off the West Midlands League Premier Division's basement side who put up little resistance.

The villagers did not really have to get out of low gear to win with keeper Matt Eden having only having save to make all afternoon.

The home side went ahead after eight minutes when Josh Hunt put Saul Thomas through for the striker to round the keeper and score.

Thomas then set up Matt Williams but his shot hit the outside of the post from six yards.

Missed chances plagued Wellington but Thomas again rounded the keeper to score his second just before the interval.

With the home team still encountering little resistance, Ben Fischer missed two good chances before Matt Williams was brought down by the home goalkeeper as he rounded him.

The keeper was sent off and a penalty awarded by Thomas wasted his hat-trick chance by driving the penalty wide.

Wellington finally found the net again 10 minutes from the end when Williams latched on to a Jamie Yau pass and side-footed the ball home to round off a comfortable win.
