HEREFORD Sailing Club are looking for new members, both experienced and less experienced in coastal sailing, ahead of embarking on an ambitious summer sailing programme.
The club own a cruiser-racing yacht named Auburn Lass which has been berthed in Plymouth. She is a Dehler, 39 feet long and can accommodate a crew of up to eight people.
Auburn Lass is shortly being sailed from Plymouth to Pembrokeshire before heading across to Ireland, en route to the delightful cruising grounds of the west coast of Scotland for the summer season.
She will then be sailed back to South Wales in the autumn, providing members with fresh cruising destinations for the remainder of the year.
In 2013, Auburn Lass was sailed along the coast of France, Spain and Portugal before returning direct to Plymouth.
Informal monthly meetings are held in a range of different venues around the county when members can keep in touch and make sailing plans.
