Pegasus Juniors 4 Bartley Green 0

PEGASUS followed up their win over West Midlands League Premier Division leaders Lye Town the previous week with a comfortable success against basement club Bartley Green.

But Juniors rarely hit the high level of performance that they had shown against Lye against opponents who offered little in any area of the field.

Juniors keeper Stuart Turpin had one of his quietest afternoons of the season and did not have a save to make.

In a dull first half, Green keeper Karl Frankham made a fine save from leading marksman Cory Hyde in the only incident of note.

Jack Lewis struck the woodwork from a Ben Price cross in the first minute of the second period before a fortunate break gave Pegasus the lead seven minutes later.

Anthony Robbins' defence-splitting pass sent Keith Jones away and his low cross was deflected into the net by Green defender Joe East.

Three minutes later, another Robbins pass set up Kane Kahaki to cross for Jones to head in the second.

Green assisted Juniors again in the 68th minute.

Keeper Frankham played Hayden Foot into trouble and he lost the ball to Hyde before bringing him down in the area.

Hyde scored from the spot.

Juniors rounded off the win 10 minutes from the end when Kahaki was on hand to head in a Price cross which had been missed by defenders and strikers alike.
